Jen,

although I think you must be a bit warped to even think about doing this, I am awed and inspired as well. Good luck next weekend, we'll be checking out the site to keep in the loop.

Good luck on race day. The best advice I got from my coaches....."prepare for everything; expect nothing." Enjoy the day; you will find out that it goes faster than you would like it to. Smile and have fun.

Jen,

Your boys and I will be there to cheer you on.
At the end of one of your previous races, Miller asked "did mommy win" I answered, yes MOMMY won ! To have the courage it takes to even consider competing in an Ironman makes you a winner ! I know all your hard work will pay off.

Go get 'em tiger! It's exciting to know somebody doing the "BIG" race. How awesome! I'm just doing marathons and ultras for now, but maybe one day I'll get to where you're at.

For now, enjoy the race and remember, you don't have to go fast, you just have to go forward. :-)

Meaningfull sporting events from the weekend of Sept 8th and 9th; IronJen puts in an outstanding performance in Madison, the Camas Crew U11 boys soccer team opens their fall season with a pounding of some unfortunate team from Battleground, and the Impact 97 U10 boys soccer team looked impressive in their debut at Fishers Landing Elementary. Highlights on ESPN 7.
